WILLOW-WEAVING IN THE GARDEN

This weekend we welcomed artist and willow-weaver Imogen Higgins to the garden. Imogen introduced how willow can be used to create garden sculptures.

In the morning, we created a cluster of dragonflies. We placed the cluster of dragonflies in the yarrow bed in the herb patch.

In the afternoon, Imogen showed how to use a basket weave to form the centre of a sunflower.

This is the first Global Gardens artist collaboration and we look forward to welcoming more artists in the garden over the next year, thanks to the People's Project.
